The best way to read a poem is over and over and over again until it's understood to be a really good poem, perhaps the best poem written in a long time. Such is the case with Charles North's poem, 'Poem', which begins with the line, Now that I'm seeing myself as a totally different person and can be found on the unnumbered pg. 13 in North's "New and Selected Poems" (Sun and Moon Press, 1999.)

The advances in neuroscience are so exciting that next year may be The Year of the Brain. That the new lightbulbs look like human brains--isn't it cool how you can now see the darkness in them, as opposed to the old lightbulbs in which you could only see light--may be by design and not by accident.

And for peace to be acheived, the United States should buy Libya, stablizing the Mid-east and drawing on the vast reserves of oil there.
