Yes, without a doubt, but so what? And what can be done about it anyway?

I hesitate to say it could change or to use the word, 'change,' as it's been tarnished, but things could change.

What then could be done?

Things could change dramatically if people began to love their government instead of despising it, demanding that their representatives be held to the highest standards of personal and professional behavior, and that they act transparently.
