Poetry god

I seem to remember talking several years ago with my pal Michael Hannon, Poetry God, about memory.

Michael said that as a poet when some language came to him now he'd immediately write it down, whereas in the old days he could remember whatever came to him and write it down later.

I said, I remember whatever it is it that comes to me.

Michael said, no you won't.

Poetry God was correct.
