All alone the other night, 9pm or thereabouts, while watching a baseball game on tv, the two San Francisco Giant broadcasters had the following exchange as a new batter was coming to the plate:

1) What do we know about Owen Miller?

2) Well, we know his name is Owen Miller.

Such an elegant utterance I thought, specific and spontaneous, delivered with deadpan clarity and humor.
