Sharing with a Friend

Politics is the systematic organization of hatreds; Henry Adams, I think.

My friend had asked me about politics and so I invoked Henry Adams. I think my friend was referring to our domestic political situation.

I started to answer my friend’s question, then changed the subject. I’m not sure how or why I changed the subject, but I did: that I think that every man is entitled to the property of his own mind, unless he is terribly wrong about something.
